Quail Valley
Quail Valley began in the year 2000 under the vision and guidance of Steve Mulvey, who had deep roots in Vero Beach dating back to his family owning part of the Brooklyn Dodgers and Los Angeles Dodgers and instrumental in bringing the team to our area for Spring Training. Partnering with Kevin Given, along with 30 founding members, they developed what is one of the most unique club concepts in the country. Today, Quail Valley offers three locations to its golfing and social memberships.

The Moorings
The Moorings, a premier waterfront community in Vero Beach, Florida, began as 535 acres of mangrove swamp transformed into over 350 luxury homes and 850 cottages and townhomes. Purchased in the late 1950s by Cuban sugar baron Julio Lobo, the land underwent extensive dredging and sea wall construction to create a boating-focused development.
From 1971 to 1984, Jorge Gonzalez, along with his wife Leonor and son Boris, led the growth of The Moorings. Jorge developed key projects, including South Passage condominiums in 1972, a Pete Dye-designed par-64 golf course, and a clubhouse offering golf, tennis, and social memberships. The Moorings Club was later dedicated to Julio Lobo. The family also contributed to founding Saint Edward’s School. Though the Gonzalezes sold The Moorings in 1984, they remained active residents of the community they helped shape.
